Chennai Has The Best Transportation and Open Space In India
This article is based on the Indian Government’s Ease of Living Index 2018. We all remember the devastation and the casualties caused by the Tsunami and heavy rains of Chennai in recent years. These are two major weakness of Chennai. But latest Ease Of Living Index has given some boost to the people and realty market in the city. It is the capital of the Indian state of Tamilnadu. In this index it has achieved the 14 rank. The first rank is for Pune, and second and third are for Navi Mumbai and Greater Mumbai. We are not going much into the technical details.

  • It has beaten Mumbai in the ranking for “The Best City with A Population Of More Than 40 lacs”
  • According to the latest index the city has best governance, culture, economy, health, employment, land use and the management of waste water
  • Easy availability and access to highly reputed educational institution and safety and security: This city beat Bengaluru, Delhi and Mumbai in these parameters
  • It got third rank in the category of Traffic Management
  • It also got the fourth rank in the category of Open Spaces (Public)
  • Power Shortages are also a major weakness of this city which also costed it in terms of national rankings
  • It also ranked poorly at solid waste management, this is a burning issue for the city since many years. According to the residents of the city this issue is still not resolved because lack of willingness and efforts from the state government
